The Power of Web Video

A photograph shows customers what a business looks like. Video can show them what it feels like: the dining room as the evening crowd arrives, the walk through the front door of a property, or the owner explaining a service in her own voice.

That is the difference between information and experience — and an experience is what people remember.

Why Now?

Broadband is spreading quickly. Customers are becoming comfortable watching news clips, movie trailers, and demonstrations online, while the Flash Player makes playback familiar across most web browsers. Web video is moving from novelty to useful business tool.

What Video Can Present

  • Property: A narrated tour lets prospective buyers experience the flow of a home before they schedule a visit.
  • Hospitality: Menus describe. Video presents the room, the plates, and the people who create the experience.
  • Retail and services: Demonstrate the craft, introduce the people, and show customers what makes the business different.

More Than Static Scenes

The story already exists. StoryFrame gives it the right presentation. Each production is recorded on location, edited to a web-friendly length, and finished with music, voiceover, titles, and graphics where they help. We then encode it for Flash playback, host it at a stable web address, and integrate the player into the business’s website.

With RSS syndication, a new video can also be delivered to subscribers as soon as it is published.
